  Description

The Ascó town, with 1600 inhabitants is placed in steps in the peak of a hill, on the right margin of the Ebro river crowned by the rests of a mediaeval castle.  To view of bird or from the castle, we can perfectly distinguish the ancient part, called Vila Closa, from the modern one, the Ascó of until 1700 from the modern Ascó, the typical Ascó from the ordinary one, the Ascó coveted by the tourism from the Ascó preferred by the farmer.

And it is that to walk for Ascó it means to be carried away for the time. Its seniority soars to the Neolithic how it has been demonstrated by the rests of cut stone which have been found in this town.

Narrow ways, are the moriscos streets. Ascó is regalima history which only the Ebro river placed in their feet, can explain.

The settlers of the age of the bronze, Iberians, Romans, Arabians, Christians and the up-to-date ones, form un alliance with the river, the plain and the mountains ..., villages and realities of their experiences along the periods.

With water, mountains and paths in capital letters, the sport activity is served in a green tray of nature. In Ascó it is possible to make everything!

The paths that border the river for its right margin, invite us to strolling for them and observing how the water passes calm.
