From the Viladomiu Vell settlement (Gironella) you can walk along a 3 km trail and discover the river setting of the textile industry settlement. It will also help you to understand what the natural environment was like before these industrial population centres were built more than a hundred years ago, right next to the River Llobregat to use its water as a source of energy. The trail features a series of explanatory panels.
The Viladomiu Vell River Trail can be supplemented by a game designed for primary school children, which lets them have fun while doing some work on the River Llobregat, the water cycle, respect for river environments and the world of textile settlements.
