Circostrada Network is a European platform for the street arts and circus, dedicated to information, observation and professional exchanges. Representing more than 50 members from 17 countries, the network is working to develop the structuring and recognition of these sectors in Europe. HorsLesMurs, French national information centre for street arts and circus arts, is the general secretariat of the network. Created in 1993 by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, it supports artistic activities through observation, documentation, training, expertise, research and publishing.

Fresh Circus #2 is focusing on the sustainable development of circus arts, and because we are taking this approach seriously there will be no distribution of printed documents!
All the necessary documents will be downloadable from our website a couple of days before the seminar, and the participants will receive a USB stick with all the documents.

Road Show, an Olympic Street party taking place in the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea (London, UK) during the 2012 Olympics, is seeking to bring together an international ensemble of performers for this festival.
Di Robson Events and Arts Management (DREAM) are thus looking for dancers and acrobats/circus performers who have graduated within the last 3 years to be part of The Exhibitionists. Conflux is inviting proposals from individual artists or groups wishing to complete the creation of a partially developed work of physical performance and present it at this year’s Surge festival, taking place 23rd – 29th July 2012.
The 3 successful applicants will receive ongoing support and mentorship from Conflux, access to rehearsal space for the duration of the piece’s development (March – July 2012), and one week’s intensive rehearsal time with director Ben Harrison. Applicants will also receive a production budget appropriate to the nature of the work and a platform to present the finished work as part of the Scope triple-bill at Surge 2012.

Circostrada Network has updated the guide "Circus and Street Arts: Professional Organisations in Europe".
Since 2009, Circostrada Network strengthens its dialogue with the circus and street arts trade unions and federations that work within the European territory. In order to facilitate exchange and cooperation, Circostrada Network publishes every year a detailed directory of these organisations.

Circostrada Network organises a second work seminar on the sustainable development of circus arts in Europe, to be held in Paris the 12 & 13 of April 2012. Professionals from the performing arts sector are invited to discuss the structuring of the circus arts and input in the debates through an online consultation, to be launched Europe-wide in December 2011. Contributors would send examples of good practice, observations and propositions. This seminar will take place in partnership with the Festival Hautes Tensions (Parc de la Villette), the Institut Français, HorsLesMurs, the Stradda magazine, the Foundation BNP-Paribas and ONDA.
