Celebrate with us La Castanyada, a Catalan All Saints’ Eve tradition
On the occasion of the All Saints Day, the Catalan community in Washington, DC will hold the traditional festivitiy of “La Castanyada” on Sunday, October 31th hosted by Casal Català (Catalan House).

Program:
1pm — Panellets preparation and pumpkin carving
Join this family activity, especially organized for kids. We will prepare different types of panellets, sweet potatoes and chestnuts. Everybody will be able to participate and learn how to cook these traditional Catalan sweets.
4:30pm — Castanyada Potluck Dinner
Let us eat the panellets and have a potluck dinner to celebrate La Castanyada altogether. Bring some dishes and drinks to share.

By car: see the map (click here). Please, note that the building has a commercial parking that can be used by participants. Price is 2 per hour.

What do you have to bring? The Casal Català will supply the ingredients for the panellets, sweet potatoes, chestnuts and pumpkins. Some appetizers, water, and soft drinks will be also provided; please, bring your drinks and special dishes, and contribute to this family event.
How much it will cost? Once there, and according to your confirmation, we will calculate the cost per person. There will be a price per family and per individual. Please, bring cash (or checks).
