Introduction

Palma d'Ebre is in the Ribera d'Ebre but far from the Ebre River, in the highest and northest part of the region, close to Garrigues and Priorat.

The village, at 335 meters high, is on a plain over the Vall Major and the fountain called Font Vella which has its origins in the arabic age. Other places to visit are the romanic church from 12-13th Centuries, the new church from the 19th century, the ancient medieval jail and the pine treem declared as a monumental tree with it's incredible trunk of 5,75 methers round.

The village is mainly agricultural, the cultivation of the olive tree called arbequina is the most important harvest, also we have the almond trees and some vineyard.
