Key themes
Research into circus and street arts, and outdoor artistic creation in general, is still underdeveloped in Europe and worldwide. Circostrada supports and promotes research by regularly carrying out and publishing thematic studies and guides that shed light on innovative practices and identify the emerging trends impacting and challenging our sectors.
Professional Integration
Access all the network’s publications following on from the “Street Arts Winter Academy" seminars, including the latest from 2015, as well as all the resources gathered by the network on education and training in circus and street arts.
Audience development
Through a shared online bibliography of audience resources, Circostrada gathers the existing information on audience research inside and outside the network, on an international scale.
Advocacy
Two publications, including the latest from 2015 were produced following the “Circus Arts in European Capitals of Culture” seminars.
The “Policies and strategies for circus arts” seminars led to a comparative study on public policies in favour of circus and street arts.
In addition to resources produced by Circostrada, the network provides access to a set of resources dealing with changes to public policies affecting circus and street arts from a local to a European level.
Guides
Circostrada regularly publishes guides for project stakeholders, giving them access to resources and projects currently being developed in Europe.
This section contains the publications “European cooperation projects” and “Professional organisations in Europe” which were updated in 2015.
Focus
Each of the network’s Focus Meetings on cross-sectoral or cross-disciplinary themes are summarised in an online publication. With these meetings, Circostrada wishes to capitalise on the expertise of its members to bring "Out of the box" views to our sectors.
The network is also constantly on the watch to add other resources to the section that provide a cross-cutting perspective of circus and street arts.
