The presence of Abertis in Croatia is channelled through its technology subsidiary Emovis. A Centre for Research and Development, working on the development of manual and automatic toll systems, is located in Split since more than 15 years ago. In the last years, it focused on the design of new free flow toll technologies.
Technological solutions designed by Emovis Croatia are present in concessionaries around the world, in several countries such as Canada, UK, France, Poland, Croatia, Montenegro, Chile and India, totaling over 200 million toll transactions a year.
Emovis is nowadays implementing a project for the Croatia Highway, which involves database renewal, replacement of 72 servers and development of a new computer system for automatic vehicles detection.
