The Democratic Convergence of Catalonia has played a key part in defining democracy throughout the history of Catalonia. This is due to the commitment that the party’s members have made towards developing our national project.

The important task of governing is carried out by the regional government of Catalonia (The Generalitat), the councils of Catalonia and the local assemblies. It involves more parliamentary action for the development of Catalonia in the European State. Altogether, these participants help define an expanding and complex political action. Since we have been autonomous for several years, this illusion is rapidly transforming into actual hope for the future.

From the work done during these years, the CiU aims to continue to serve and prepare Catalonia for the future: A Catalonia which is more prosperous, free, strong and cultured. Each one of Catalonia’s citizens play an important role in making this possible.
